Some prophesies that didn't come true
(Jeremiah 3:18) “In
those days the house of Judah shall walk with the house of Israel, and
they shall come together out of the land of the north to the land that
I have given for an inheritance unto your fathers.”
(Jeremiah 23:3) “And I will gather
the remnant of my flock out of all countries whither I have driven them,
and will bring them again to their folds; and they shall be fruitful and
increase.”
NOTE: Jeremiah makes a prediction that never
comes true. Jeremiah predicted that the people from Israel and Judah would
both return after the exile and live happily ever after. If God would
say that, he never fulfilled his promise. If he knew in advance that they
would sin, why did he make a promise in the first place he knew he couldn’t
keep?
(Ezekiel 29:19) “ Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold,
I will give the land of Egypt unto Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon; and
he shall take her multitude, and take her spoil, and take her prey; and
it shall be the wages for his army.”
(Isaiah 31:5) As birds flying, so will
the LORD of hosts defend Jerusalem; defending also he will deliver it;
and passing over he will preserve it.

The reasons most prophesies came true
(Deuteronomuy 18:18-22) “I will
raise up a prophet like you [i.e. Moses] for them from among their fellow
Israelites. I will put my words in his mouth and he will speak to them
whatever I command.
“I willpersonally hold responsible
anyone who then pays no attention to the words that prophet speaks in
my name.
“But if anyh prophet presumes to speak
anything in my name that I have not authorized him to speak, or speaks
in the name of other gods, that prophet must die.
“Now if you say to yourselves, 'How can
we tell that a message is not from the LORD?
“Whenever a prophet speaks in my name and
the prediction is not fulfilled, then I have not spoken it; the prophet
has presumed to speak it, so you need not fear him.”
(I other words, if a prophase doesn't come true, then it wasn't an
authorized prophase and so was not written down.)
(Ezekiel 14:9) And if the prophet be
deceived when he hath spoken a thing, I the LORD have deceived that prophet,
and I will stretch out my hand upon him, and will destroy him from the
midst of my people Israel.
NOTE: How many times have people told
you that every prediction in the Bible came true? Most prophesies came
true because the only prophesies that were recorded were prophesies that
came true. If a prophet made a prophesies that didn't come true, then
he was a false prophet and his prophesies were not recorded.
