Many Floods happened and the fact was passed down
orally. The myth that the the Noah Flood was based on was first recorded
a thousand years before Genesis was written down. At the end of the ice
age, the sea level rose and broke through the Bosphorus Strait to the
Dead Sea.
Here are the reasons that the flood as described
in the Old Testament would be impossible:
• The water level would have to cover
Mt.
Everest.
• There is not that much water on the planet.
• There are millions of different species and
they all could not fit on any ark no matter
how big it was.
• Some of the species were food for others.
• Some of the species could not live in the
climate of the Mid-East.
• If God really wanted to wipe out most of the
human race, • God would have used other
methods and there was no need to kill all the
other creatures.
