Women in the New Testament

(Matthew 5:27-30) “Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery. But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.” (If you are going to lust, as all men do, you might as well go all the way)

(Matthew 5:32) If you divorce your wife for anything other than fornication and she remarries, both her and her new husband are committing adultery. (With the divorce rate we have now, about half the country is committing adultery and should be executed. That would solve our population problem.))

(Matthew 19:3-9) “A man who divorces his wife and remarries is an adulterer.”

(Matthew 22:24) It is not adultery if a woman marries her dead husband's brother.

(Matthew 24:19) “(woe) to them; that are with child.”

(I Corinthians 11:3) “But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.”

(I Corinthians 11:6-7) “For if the woman be not covered, let her also be shorn: but if it be a shame for a woman to be shorn or shaven, let her be covered.
      “For a man indeed ought not to cover his head, forasmuch as he is the image and glory of God: but the woman is the glory of the man.”

(Ephesians 5:22-33) “Wives should summit themselves to their husbands and husbands should love their wives as part of their own body.”

(I Timothy 2:9) “In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with braided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array;”

(I Timothy 2:11) “Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection. But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.”(How many of you had women Sunday School teachers? And how many heads of state have been women?)

(Pope Gregory) He put all Maries together and made her a whore because she was female.
