Buddha:

  • His incarnatioin was accomplished by the descent of the Holy Ghost upon his mother
  • A mystical light surrounded the infant
  • He performed many miracles.
  • He was crucified.
  • He descended into Hades to suffer for three days and then ascended into heaven.

Krishna:

  • Was the 8th Avatar of the Hindu Pantheon about 1200 BCE
  • His story is in a divinely inspired bible
  • An angelic voice from heaven announced to his mother “In thy delivery, o favored among women, all nations shall have cause to rejoice"
  • His birth in a cave was heralded by a star

  • His birth happened when his foster father was in the city to pay his taxes
  • The king ordered the death of all male children born the same night he was born
  • He was crucified
    (Some scholars believe that the Christian writers copied from the Hindus holy book Mahabharata)

Quetzalcoatl:

  • A Mexican god born in 587 BCE of a virgin mother by an immaculate conception
  • There are many counterparts to Jesus' life in his
    biography to include: purification in the temple,
    baptism and regeneration by water
  • He spent 40 days of temptation and fasting
  • He forgave sins and was anointed with oil
  • He was crucified on a cross with two thieves being crucified with him
  • He was buried, descended into hell and resurrected on the third day

Horus:

  • Born of the virgin Isis in Egypt around 1550 BCE
  • When a baby, received gifts from three kings
  • Crucified on a cross
    (Religious scholars have found about 200 parallels of Horus and Jesus)

Adonis (Tammuz):

  • Born of a virgin mother named Ishtar (Easter)
  • Mother was called "The Queen of Heaven"
  • He was pictured as a baby in mother's arms
    He was regarded as both son and husband of mother
  • Was also regarded as both God the Father and Son of God
  • He was crucified and resurrected
  • Was sacrificed to save humans
  • Popular with Semites of Western Asia about 2000 BCE

Quirinus:

  • Roman savior born 506 BCE of a virgin mother
  • Was crucified by King Amulius
    When he died, the whole earth became dark

Indra:

  • Was born of a black virgin in Thibet in 725 BCE
  • He descended from heaven on mission of benevolence
  • Ascended back to heaven after crucifixion
  • Led life of celibacy which he taught as essential to true Holiness
  • He could walk on water and air
  • He could foretell the future
